The 2009 DMEC Leadership Series was sponsored by Liberty Mutual for the fifth year in a row. The 2009 topic was best practices in tracking and managing incidental absence. Human resource managers, benefit managers, and risk managers came together to explore potential benefits and challenges of absence management metrics and reporting.
Panels were convened in San Francisco and Boston during March and April 2009, with a webinar roundtable held in May to conduct discussions on issues including program design, vendor relationships, and internal administration. During presentations, attendees were encouraged to ask questions and relate their own experiences as they applied to their own corporate environments.
