DMEC and Spring Consulting Group partnered to understand employer challenges in managing all types of leaves, including the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), state family and medical leaves, military leave (USERRA), state military leave, jury duty, other state mandated leaves, municipal/county leaves, and other company specific leaves (e.g., bereavement, administrative, personal leaves, etc.).
With information from over 1,100 employer survey respondents, this session gave an inside look into how companies of all sizes are managing all types of leaves. This year’s survey also took a closer look at management of parental leave, family care leave, and paid sick leave as well as the reasons companies are offering these leaves. Additionally, the survey addressed some new questions around leaves by location, key employee management, and types of services to assist employers in managing ADA administration in an effective and compliant manner.
This session covered best practices identified in the survey and as identified by industry experts in absence management.
