Paid leave programs are becoming more and more popular. New York’s Paid Family Leave law has re-energized this conversation, and more states may follow suit. You don’t have to wait for a legal mandate to provide paid family leave, though.
While a paid family leave program does cost money, it can be a good investment if you take the time to plan carefully. Employees on paid family leave would be out of work anyway, so why not help them feel supported during a difficult time? You may see a payoff in the form of increased employee retention and decreased turnover costs. This webinar will provide insight into New York’s Paid Family Leave implementation, and what employers can expect for the future.
