The rapid evolution of technology is impacting leave management and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) accommodations. Millennials and Generation Z — the future of your workforce — expect sophisticated technological tools and processes. It is essential that employers adapt and evolve to recruit and retain this workforce.

 Leave Management

Many leave requests can be completed over the phone, online, or through mobile applications, making the process immediately accessible to employees. These tools also help human resources (HR) reduce cumbersome manual processes. Further, leave technology can give HR extensive data about trends and incidence rates. Sophisticated systems can monitor and provide alerts regarding employee use of intermittent leave to flag patterns that suggest potential abuse or absences that exceed the medical certification.
