The Americans with Disabilities (ADA) process can be a daunting experience, even for the most experienced companies. Consistent policies, which are effectively communicated, can drive compliance and improve the employee experience.
This session provided employers with an understanding of the impact of the “3 C’s” throughout the ADA process: consistency, compliance, and communication. It offered examples of each component and how it relates to the accommodation process, as well as practical tips and tools for application. This session also explored best practices for recognizing a person’s need for accommodation, responding to a request, understanding time frames, and defining each parties’ responsibilities.
