Paid family and medical leave programs are gaining traction across the nation, and are currently approved in seven states. Each state’s approved program is unique in terms of plan design, distribution method, and financial controls. This webinar will offer employers insight into the changing landscape of paid family leave programs, and provide key considerations when structuring employee benefit programs for inclusiveness of all new leave laws.

Attendees will gain insight into the drivers that may dictate specific changes to their company plans, and learn ways to accommodate employees who work in a leave law jurisdiction. We will also explore best practices in delivering communications, and balancing the flow of information to an organization.

Sara Borgardt is a lead manager for total rewards at AXA Equitable Holdings, Inc. where she is responsible for multiple projects related to compensation and benefits plan design. She joined the AXA family in 2013 and has managed the administration of company and state regulated leave policies in all 50 states, plus Puerto Rico. In this role, she has designed new PTO policies, advised on integration with federal/state/local requirements, and coached leaders on best practices and communication strategies regarding leave management.

Blaine Clotfelter

Blaine joined ABC in 2016 after filling a similar role with parent company, Alliant Insurance Services, since 2007. He has been in the employee benefits field since 1995 with extensive experience in plan marketing, financial analysis, and process management. Blaine’s focus has been on life, disability, and leave administration. Prior to joining Alliant, he was a consultant at Aon. Blaine’s responsibilities include managing client/vendor relationships, day-to-day processes, and account management.

Dan Iskra is a director at MetLife, responsible for the development and management of MetLife’s group disability and absence management products. Dan joined MetLife in 2007 and has held various roles representing MetLife’s product and financial segments.
