Rising healthcare costs continue to plague both employers and employees alike. As employers work to maintain the budget while offering the benefits employees need to maintain health, employees struggle to identify the right offerings for their needs that also fit their personal finances. More employers are getting wise to the idea of managing their most high-cost populations in a way that mitigates rising costs while providing value to their workers.
In this session we identified two high-cost populations to an employer’s group health plan, the key cost drivers for these populations, and then provided tactical solutions to drive better outcomes. We shared case studies and real world options that have created well-informed and more satisfied healthcare recipients, resulting in better coverage at reduced costs for both the employer and the employee.
