As the COVID-19 pandemic lingers on, the complexity of absence requests and accommodations continue to expand. Many employers are now faced with looming vaccine mandates, along with the inevitable vaccine exemptions, and the associated accommodation requests that haven’t slowed down. In this session, we’ll walk through various federal and state vaccine mandates as well as how to manage related accommodations including medical, religious, and “other” with a focus on best practices and compliance considerations.

Dr. Robert Dawes is ReedGroup’s Chief Medical Officer, and leads the company’s clinical management strategy and clinical teams. Dr. Dawes brings more than 20 years of industry experience to the role, encompassing a variety of senior leadership roles specific to disability and absence management. Dr. Dawes has extensive medical and clinical experience, including a Psy.D.in Clinical Psychology. Prior to joining ReedGroup, Dr. Dawes served as the Chief Medical Officer of Aflac.
