The Role of Technology in Absence and Accommodation Compliance

Technology has revolutionized aspects of leave and accommodation and helped employers stay compliant whether they outsource or handle the responsibilities in-house. We will explore how employers can leverage technology to maintain compliance.

Understanding the applicable leave laws, including newly passed laws and amendments to existing leave laws is critical as well as daunting for employers with employees in several states. Beyond the federal Family and Medical Leave Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, and Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act, there are hundreds of leave laws (paid and unpaid) that often apply to employers with at least one employee in a city, county, and state.
