Welcome to the Southern California (Long Beach) chapter. As DMEC’s first chapter, we have a long history of serving Southern California absence and disability professionals. Our meetings provide a focused, yet fun environment where you can network with colleagues and gather valuable insight on IDAM best practices. Our members are knowledgeable professionals in their field and bring a diversity of work specializations that support disability and absence integration. We invite you to join us at an upcoming meeting!

We are actively seeking meeting partners to support our chapter at a grassroots level. If your company is interested in becoming a meeting partner, please contact us at info@dmec.org to discuss further.

Overview

We hold four meetings per year. Our three luncheon programs typically run from 11:30 am-1:30 pm and include networking and a dynamic speaker presentation. We also hold a full-day program once a year from 8:30 am-3:00 pm that includes all of the above and more.

Representatives from Southern California employers that work in absence management, wellness and productivity, integrated disability management, risk or claims management, legal or safety arenas, and representatives from disability vendors that support employers attend chapter meetings.

CEUs

All DMEC chapter meetings qualify for CPDM CEUs. Pick up a CPDM CEU reporting form at the close of each meeting. Any other CEUs provided for the meeting will be listed on the event details page.

Meeting Partners

We are seeking individual meeting partnerships to support chapter activities throughout the year. Local vendors are recognized at the event. If you would like to learn more about partnering with us for chapter events, please contact us at info@dmec.org.

Registration

Registration fees for our lunch events are typically:

  • DMEC members*: $40
  • Nonmembers: $45

Our full-day event registration fees are typically:

  • DMEC members*: $55
  • Nonmembers: $60

*All employees of a DMEC member organization enjoy a variety of benefits, including reduced chapter fees.

Please register online for each event. You can pay by credit card or select the “Pay by Check Onsite” option. If paying by check, please bring a check (or cash) to the meeting for the full registration fee. Checks can be made payable to DMEC.

Substitutions and Cancellations

Substitutions are accepted; however, these must be made by the RSVP date indicated on the event details page. To make a substitution, contact info@dmec.org or 800.789.3632, ext. 101.

Cancellation for a refund is required by the RSVP date indicated on the event details page. To request a refund, contact info@dmec.org or 800.789.3632, ext. 101.

Receipts

Upon request, a receipt is provided at the meeting. Members can download a receipt by logging into their DMEC Account. Select “My Account”, then “Orders”. Select the specific order and print.
