The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) has afforded numerous employment opportunities to people with disabilities sinces its enactment on July 26, 1990. As we approach the 31st anniversary of this landmark legislation, let’s take a closer look at some of the common questions related to workplace ADA accommodations, recent trends impacting employers in this area, and steps employers can take to help ensure compliance.

One of the more frequently asked questions centers around the difference between ADA accommodations and return-to-work accommodations. While the two are distinct, both are subject to ADA mandates.
