Healthcare employers face many staffing challenges when managing their fast-paced, 24/7 workforce, with high and unpredictable leave volumes at the forefront. Regional health system AtlantiCare understands this, and since 2014, has leveraged leave metrics as part of their workforce management strategy to keep 6,000 employees working in sync across 100 locations in New Jersey.

Prior to 2014, AtlantiCare outsourced leave management, but grew frustrated with their inability to get timely access to their data for reporting purposes. To overcome this, they insourced leave management with the support of software with real-time reporting capabilities. Their leave software receives data feeds from their human resources systems, which gives them comprehensive employee and leave data in one reportable database to gain insight into their leave metrics.
