Paid sick leave versus paid medical leave — the 2010s were the decade of paid sick leave laws, and the 2020s are shaping up to be the decade of paid family & medical leave laws. What is the difference? This webinar went back to the basics, and reviewed the differences between the paid leave concepts including how each is funded, how they interact with PTO, disability, other sources of income, and one another. We also reviewed the latest trends in both types of leave laws and explored recently passed laws and upcoming and pending legislation.
