Effective July 1, 2022, every employer is required to provide written notice to each of their employees describing the entitlement to CT PFML; the opportunity to file a claim; the prohibition against employer retaliation against employee application for or use of leave; and the employee right to file a complaint with the Labor Commissioner. It is also important to keep Connecticut employees informed prior to the effective date of the notice requirements. The Connecticut Paid Leave Authority website has a number of resources that employers may download, including a fact sheet, an information card regarding employee deductions, a poster notice, and other tools.
