Although the FMLA was signed into law over 25 years ago, understanding its requirements can be overwhelming. This presentation walked learners through FMLA basics, and provided practical, best practices that you can use to effectively administer your FMLA program. Through real-life FMLA scenarios, this session provided an in-depth overview of the FMLA, discussed employer and employee obligations, identified common misconceptions and implementation pitfalls when administering the FMLA, helped learners better understand and manage intermittent leaves, and provided tips on how to prevent employee abuse of FMLA leave.
