An interactive discussion on how Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) initiatives are driving leave offerings across the industry. From the federal, state, and local regulatory space to company offerings, there is no area of the industry not impacted by these efforts. With a reach far beyond the expansion of Paid Family Medical Leave (PFML) programs, we will examine how some employers are using DEIB values to lead the way with innovative leave policies of their own.
We discussed the emerging leave policies employers are offering in response to their employees’ evolving needs, including and surpassing their legal requirements. This session examined the nuances of state and local sick leave, the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act (PWFA), prenatal leave, bereavement leave, and everything in between.
