DMEC is pleased to launch our highly-anticipated microcredential program with our first course, the ADA Accommodation Process! This new offering provides a unique opportunity to become a go-to expert in a particular area of absence and disability management.
Each self-paced course will include interactive modules featuring real-life scenarios, applicable resources, and knowledge checks — all designed to equip you with the tools to differentiate yourself within your organization and the industry.
ADA Accommodation Process Microcredential Course
The acceleration of ADA accommodation requests, combined with the increase in complexity, has created significant challenges for managing compliant and effective accommodation programs. The ADA Accommodation Process Microcredential Course offers specialized training to effectively and confidently navigate employee accommodation requests.
The Four Modules in the Course Include:
- Conducting the Interactive Process
- Making Accommodations
- Communication and Documentation
- Tracking, Managing, and Monitoring Accommodations
Whether you’re new to the industry, seeking a deeper understanding of the ADA, or looking to complement your CLMS certification or other industry designation, this course will jump start your career in the right direction!
Individuals who complete the course will walk away with the ability to:
- Recognize the various stakeholders in the ADA process and how their involvement might be triggered.
- Identify the major stages and steps in the interactive process.
- Explain different types of accommodations and consider when they might apply.
- Understand the importance of appropriate accommodation communication and documentation.
- Describe the process for tracking, managing, and monitoring ADA accommodations.

Payments must be made by credit card. Full refunds, less a $50 administrative fee, will be available for 30 days after purchase if the course/exam has not been started in the DMEC Learning Center. Certificates & Digital Badges
Individuals who successfully complete a DMEC microcredential course will be issued an electronic certificate and a digital badge. Certificates will be available to view and download from the DMEC Learning Center.
DMEC partners with BadgeCert, a third-party badging company, to issue digital badges. With each new badge earned, individuals will receive an email that contains information about the credential as well as login instructions to access their BadgeCert portfolio. Badges can be shared electronically with others via email or through social media networks as well as displayed on resumes, email signatures, or job boards. DMEC’s digital badges are embedded with qualifying information and can be easily verified by others when they access the badge link. This cutting-edge technology allows badge earners to securely share their credentials. Badges can be managed and shared through an individual’s BadgeCert portfolio.
