General
When is the 2024 DMEC Annual Conference?
The in-person conference will held on Aug. 5-8, 2024 in Nashville, TN. A one-day virtual conference will be held on Sept. 18, 2024.
Where will the conference be held?
All meetings and events held in conjunction with the in-person conference will be at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville, TN.
Is the 2024 DMEC Annual Conference going to be held in person or virtually?
The conference will be held in person at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville, TN.
For those that are unable to attend the in-person conference, DMEC has planned a one-day virtual conference on Sept. 18, 2024, which will feature four of the highest-rated sessions from the in-person conference along with a virtual roundtable discussion.
Program
When will the 2024 DMEC Annual Conference Program Agenda be available?
The program agenda is available as of April 2024. The virtual conference agenda will be available approximately one month prior to the event.
What is the preconference workshop held on Sunday, Aug. 4?
DMEC is partnering with Shaw HR Consulting to present an exclusive four-hour workshop titled “ADA Compliance: Mini Boot Camp.” This engaging preconference event will be held on Sunday, Aug. 4 from 1:00-5:00 pm prior to the 2024 DMEC Annual Conference. Secure your spot by registering for the optional preconference workshop, available at an additional $299 for registered conference attendees. Act fast, as participation is limited to just 100 attendees.

To receive member pricing, you must have a current individual or organization membership or purchase a membership at the time of registration.

Are there group discounts available for registration?
Yes. Register four or more individuals from your organization, and receive a $75 discount on the fourth registration and all subsequent registrations. Note: You do not need to register all four individuals at the same time. The registration system will recognize when the fourth (and subsequent) individual(s) from the organization is registering and will automatically apply the $75 discount.
When and how do I register?
You can register online and submit credit card payment.
How do I know if I'm a member?
If you aren’t sure if your organization is a DMEC member, follow these steps to add your company affiliation and verify your DMEC membership status or contact us at 800.789.3632 ext. 101 or info@dmec.org.
If I'm not a member, how do I receive member pricing?
If you are not currently a DMEC member, you can sign up for a membership before registering for the event, or you can add a membership to your cart, along with the conference registration, to receive the member pricing.
I am presenting a session. Do I have to register?
Everyone, including speakers, attending the conference must register. Speakers will receive registration instructions through their speaker portal.
How will I know if I am registered?
When your registration is received and processed, you will receive an email indicating that you completed the registration process. Registration confirmation emails will be sent to the email address entered on your online registration form. If you believe that you have completed the registration steps and do not receive an email within 24 hours, contact us at info@dmec.org.
Is it possible to substitute a new person for someone who is already registered?
Yes. Contact us at 800.789.3632, ext. 101 or info@dmec.org with both the name of the person being replaced and the new person’s name and contact information, including email address and the email confirmation number of the record of the person being replaced (if available). Substitutions will be accepted through July 25, 2024. The individual attending the conference is responsible for all financial obligations.
What if I need to cancel my in-person conference registration?
All registration cancellation and refund requests must be made in writing by June 27, 2024. A refund of all fees, minus a $50 administrative fee, will be given for cancellations received on or before June 27. No refunds will be granted after this date.
Will I receive a badge and conference materials in the mail?
No. You will pick up your badge and other conference information at the onsite DMEC registration desk at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center. The DMEC registration desk will be open prior to our Monday general session and evening welcome reception, opening again at least one hour prior to the start of sessions on Tuesday. Registration desk hours are included in our mobile app and in a reminder email sent to you shortly before the conference.
Where do I go to pick up my conference materials if I am registered for the preconference workshop on Sunday?
If you are registered for the preconference workshop on Sunday, Aug. 4 you will pick up your badge and other conference information outside of meeting room Hermitage AB at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center. The DMEC preconference workshop registration desk will open Sunday from 12:00-5:00 pm. Preconference workshop registration desk hours are included in our mobile app and in a reminder email sent to you shortly before the conference.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Conference registration fees can be paid by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, or American Express).
Meals & Social Events
What meals and refreshments are included in registration?
The Monday welcome reception; breakfast on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday; morning breaks Monday-Thursday; lunch on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday; afternoon breaks Monday-Wednesday; the Tuesday Happy Hour; and Wednesday Closing Night Event are included in your registration.
I'm a vegetarian. How can I order vegetarian meal options?
Please note your accommodation needs on your registration form and provide detailed information. DMEC staff will reach out with further information.
I have a specific food allergy. How can I be ensured that I will receive an appropriate meal?

Housing/Hotel Information
What is the conference hotel?
The 2024 DMEC Annual Conference will be held at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville, TN. The hotel is currently taking reservations for the DMEC conference.
What is our discounted DMEC guest room rate?
The discounted daily rate for DMEC conference attendees is $251 USD plus taxes/fees and a $2.50 per room/per night city tax. Make your reservation by July 12, 2024 to receive the discounted rate. All reservations must be accompanied by a first night room deposit, which is refundable if the reservation is canceled 24 hours prior to arrival.
I'm presenting. Do I need to make my own hotel reservation?
Yes. Speakers will receive hotel reservation information through their speaker portal.
What do I do if the conference hotel is already full?
This year the hotel should accommodate our entire group. If you are told the hotel is full, contact us at info@dmec.org. We encourage everyone to make their reservations early.
How do I cancel or change my hotel reservation if I need to?
Call the hotel and cancel as soon as you know that you will not be using your reserved room or need to make a change to your existing reservation.
