2021 DMEC Benchmarking Reports

Tasha PattersonSurveys, White Papers

These benchmarking reports are a subset of the 2021 DMEC Employer Leave Management Survey, which was completed by 703 employers, and focus on plan design for workers’ compensation, short-term disability, long-term disability, the Family and Medical Leave Act, paid leave, time off, and other company programs.

The available benchmarking reports are segmented by responses from companies with under 100 employees, 100-999 employees, 1,000-4,999 employees, and 5,000+ employees as well as those that represent healthcare, manufacturing, and banking/financial services/insurance industries. Additionally, one report showcases responses from all sizes and all industries, and each report features an aggregate data comparison.

The information in these reports is designed to be a tool for decision making rather than an absolute standard. When reviewing the data, it is important to recognize that plans and policies are influenced by many factors, such as business strategy, organization culture, and market pressures, and therefore benchmarking measures should not be compared in isolation. Any interpretation of the data represented in this report should be considered within this context.
