Taking Back Your Plan: A Practical Guide for Effective Policy Development
The avalanche of federal, state, and local laws has forced employers into making reactive policy, process, and funding changes, often with minimal information and under tight deadlines. The effort spent determining how each plan does or does not coordinate, and if mandatory requirements are being met, is overshadowing the overall goal of having formal leave plans in the first place.
This engaging and interactive training is designed to provide participants with the foundational knowledge and practical skills needed to write effective, compliant, and inclusive policies that reflect your company’s objectives.
One-Day Virtual Event
For those that are unable to attend the in-person conference, DMEC has planned a one-day virtual conference on Oct. 1, 2025, which will feature four of the highest-rated sessions from the in-person conference as well as virtual networking opportunities.
2024 Conference Takeaways
In addition to complying with hundreds of leave laws, employers must support employees more holistically to attract and retain top talent. But how? Hear insights from the 2024 DMEC Annual Conference from Bryon Bass, CLMS, DMEC CEO; Kristin Jones, CLMS, DMEC director of education programs; and Jess Dudley, CLMS, DMEC senior education manager!
What past attendees are saying
Hear what in-person attendees had to say about the 2024 conference:
I thought that this conference was simply amazing. From the opening keynote to the very end. The variety in the content for each session was also valuable as well! This conference was exceptional!
The amount of information I received to take back to my company is nothing short of amazing! I thought I was a fairly good presenter, but the conference presenters were on point! The event as a whole was so well organized. So many critical pieces were discussed. I won’t be leaving the conference disappointed. I am leaving overwhelmed, but in a good way. Thank you so much for such a great experience!
Although, we came from different parts of the country, we all face similar challenges and experiences. It was great to be able to hear others’ experiences.
