“Integrated benefits management” can take a myriad of forms, with program performance varying greatly depending on many factors. But across the board, two critical factors drive success: an integrated program’s method of implementation and its benefits. To achieve best-in-class results, an employer and its vendor need a comprehensive approach to integrated benefits management, optimizing analytics and operational processes. In our experience, successful integration is largely driven by understanding the analytic value of data across benefit programs such as group health and absence and disability, and by partnering with clinical and operational teams.

Analytic Optimization

Data integration is the process of linking data from disparate benefit platforms to construct a complete picture of health across a population and within the individual employees that comprise the population. When data sets from various benefit platforms are combined effectively, the integrated data can reveal modifiable health issues within previously unidentified subpopulations.
