Comprehensive Benefits Packages Support Holistic Well-Being

As we head into the second open enrollment season amid the pandemic and companies evaluate return-to-office plans, employers need to assess how benefit programs support employees’ holistic well-being and influence productivity. New research shows that employees want more from their workplace benefits, and 39% don’t believe their company’s programs support their well-being, a term that includes their financial, mental, social, and physical health.

Adding a holistic wellness approach to benefits offerings can alleviate feelings of stress and burnout, and can boost productivity, according to MetLife’s annual study1 on trends in employee benefits. The study includes the following three considerations:
