Dr. Reema Hammoud, PharmD

Reema earned her doctorate of pharmacy from Ferris State University in 2006 and has over ten years of experience as a pharmacist. She is board certified in pharmacotherapy, and has experience working in a multitude of settings including community, hospital, and psychiatric. Reema joined Sedgwick in 2014 and has been active in formulary management, clinical services, and drug utilization management. Along with working as a clinical liaison between clients and pharmacy benefit managers, Reema provides developmental support to the complex pharmacy management team. Reema’s main goal is to work with clients and providers to ensure the best results for the injured worker, utilizing best practices which include the development of weaning protocols that allow providers to discontinue medications in a safe and effective way.

Jeff is widely recognized as one of the nation’s foremost FMLA and ADA experts, regularly counseling clients on compliance with FMLA and ADA regulations, conducting FMLA/ADA audits and training, and successfully litigating FMLA and ADA lawsuits. Jeff is also the author of the highly-regarded FMLA Insights blog, which helps employers administer FMLA leave, and manage the most difficult FMLA issues.

Scotty Benton

Scotty Benton is the vice president of Sedgwick’s workers’ compensation practice. In this role, he supports workers’ compensation operations by focusing on the continued development of best practices by ensuring that all claims are administered in accordance with best practices and in full compliance with legal, regulatory, and jurisdictional requirements. With nearly 30 years of industry experience, he has spent time working for insurance carriers and third-party administrators. Before entering the insurance industry, Scotty served as a platoon commander in the U.S. Marine Corps. He holds a bachelor’s degree from North Texas State University and the ARM and AIC professional designations.
