Navigating the evaluation of employment status for employees on a leave of absence or disability can be complex. In this session, we explored two contrasting case studies — one showcasing an optimal outcome, and the other revealing a less favorable situation — and discussed helpful strategies for managing the inherent risks and challenges when making job decisions for employees on leave. Using smart decision-making and the right resources, we can reach outcomes that are fair, follow the rules, and show understanding for our employees’ situations.
