New Workplace Mental Health Resources

Protecting and cultivating the behavioral health and emotional well-being of employees is of critical importance in 2021 and beyond. The pandemic has had lasting impacts on many employees. According to the CDC, throughout 2020, rates of depression increased threefold, and rates of anxiety increased fourfold. The Standard reported that during 2020, 55% of employees reported increased behavioral health symptoms, and 36% of employees reported increased use of substances.

On the upside, there are indicators that workplace leaders are responding to this problem. In a Deloitte survey from January 2021, 98% of CEOs surveyed noted that employee mental health and well-being will be a primary focus for them this year.

To support DMEC members as they confront this unprecedented challenge, we have partnered with two industry thought leaders to provide timely workplace mental health information, updates, and resources.
