Independent medical exams (IMEs) are a valuable tool for employers challenging questionable claims. But navigating the process, particularly for a behavioral health claim, can be an even greater challenge. Many employers struggle to identify the claims that would most benefit from an independent analysis, and when they do, they don’t understand the information required for the request.
This session explored the common pitfalls that can occur with behavioral health IMEs and provided helpful tips to improve the experience and ensure a comprehensive evaluation and report.
